It can get cold in the baggage hold, and there's no guarantee your bag would be in the pressurised + heated zone (where they put pets, flowers and any other sensitive cargo). And what will you need if your baggage is delayed, or flight delayed without baggage offload?

The simplest thing is to get a letter from your doctor confirming the need for the (liquid) medication, stating the name of the drug, and also confirming the application is by injection. Then take supplies in your hand luggage. Without the letter you'll get hassle, and most likely have the insulin confiscated (not to mention the needles!)

Needles I'd pack in the hold other than what I needed in the next 24 hours - they should be easy enough to get supplies of if the airline sends your bag on it's own trip.

Note that TSA rules mean you are only supposed to take enough "for the journey". My definition of journey is "until I get home after the end of this round trip"....so I just answer "yes, that's my supplies for this journey"

Instead of crying foul at the process and fighting to decrease security for all of us, why don't you put up with it as the price of doing business?

I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Like the person above me said, it most likely can, and you should get something from your boss as proof that you are working there.

As for the rest of the proof, the ticket receipt is a must, and anything else that you purchase or spend money on for work only.

As far as the IRS is involved, they just want to make sure that you are not writing off things for you.

You are just working at a different location for sometime, and your fiance happens to live in that area.

Also one little detail you need to make clear, are you moving there for work, or are you moving there to be with your fiance, and the company you work for is accommodating you with a position at that location?

There are a couple of place which you have mention that would suit you. For example Principality of Monaco low tax, good standard of living, another place is Switzerland neutral country mines it's own business passport is respected worldwide. But not easy to get citizenship in these two places. Sweden, Ireland, Norway, Principality of Andorra, Principality of Liechtenstein, Again not easy to get citizenship in these mention above.
