Afghanistan Travel and Tour Guide
Robert Walsh Kids Clothing wants to announce the creation of their newest page on their website, entitled “Support Our Troops, Soldiers & Army Wives In Iraq & Afghanistan War”. Since September the collapse of Wall Street and the Housing Foreclosures countrywide has dominated the NEWS. Americans from coast to coast are focusing on their economic concerns of keeping their jobs, saving their homes from foreclosure, and protecting their saving and investments from being a complete loss.
Due to this refocusing we seemed to have forgotten our troops in Iraq, and the Afghanistan war against terrorism. With all the doom and gloom at home we want to remind our fellow citizens that there are thousands of American soldiers in Iraq. Afghanistan and the war in Afghanistan is the front line in our war against terrorism. Our service men and women still need our support. And with the Holiday Season upon us it is more important than ever that we give them a touch of home on the battle fronts abroad as we have done in all of our previous wars over the last fifty plus years.
This page, http://www.robertwalshkidsclothing.com/23.html, suggests ways to support our troops and their army wives here at home. With every donation Americans can share the “Holiday Spirit” by sending an e-mail Christmas to one of over 200,000 troops stationed overseas away from their families in order to safeguard our freedoms here at home. A simple donation may provide soldiers a call home to their army wives and children with a prepaid phone card. This certainly is a top holiday gift, because it brings SO MUCH JOY to everyone, including the giver and the recipients and their families.
These precious simple gifts that are PRICELESS are made available through the generosity of ordinary Americans who want to recognize American soldiers worldwide who once again sacrifice their lives and the lives of their army families during this Holiday Season.
Through your kindness and generosity we can give back to our troops a gift that is PRICELESS. A holiday card that tells a member of our Armed Forces we haven’t forgotten, and we are grateful for your service CAN MEAN SO MUCH to that soldier stationed high in the cold and remote mountains of Afghanistan. To write soldiers or have an e-mail card sent in your name is a real morale booster for that G.I. Joe.
Or to adopt a soldier with a donation for that prepaid phone card not only supports the soldiers in Iraq, but also their army wives here stateside who receive that surprise precious long distance phone call that unites the army family for the HOLIDAY….how precious is that!!!
We want to encourage Americans, despite their own economic hardships, to realize that even a small donation of $20.00 is less than one penny for the every service men and women abroad. It would take approximately $2,000.00 to raise it to a penny per soldier stationed overseas.
So please join our effort to remember our troops this Holiday Season with an affordable donation that will bring PRICELESS HOLIDAY JOY to a soldier and his/her family. You can’t buy much with a penny these days. But by helping to raise a penny per soldier abroad with YOUR DONATION and Donations like yours is the BEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE to our soldiers this HOLIDAY SEASON! Please help Support our Troops.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN & THEIR FAMILIES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!!!

When I came home from Vietnam, people were calling us baby killers and spiting at us. I have never gotten over it. There is no substitute for support from the American people!

I understand both sides of this argument, but I totally see where you are coming from. A lot of soliders have given so much personally to this war that it has really become a part of who they are, and when they see protesters, it can feel like they are protesting not only against the war, but against them personally. I understand that many of the protesters aren't trying to personally attack soldiers, but I feel that it's easy for soldiers to feel they are being attacked for what they do. It's a tough situation. Our troops are a great part of our country and they are VERY undervalued. They deserve more pay, more benefits, and much more respect!

In response to the first poster ROMER, who is outrageousely uninformed
"How does George support the troops?"
-By constantly trying to get more money and support for the troops, and battles the dems trying to cut funding.
"Does he send them into battle without armor?"
-We do have armor, any shortages are directly a result of dems not authorizing more money
"Does he make them drive unarmored vehicles?"
-Most vehicles are armoured, there are some vehicles which do not need armor.
"Does he put them into no-win situations?"
-You see it as unwinnable because you have faulty intelligence, he believes failure is not an option.
"Does he ask them to give their lives for a war based on lies?"
- NO he has a voluntary military who believes in his cause just like he does, him lying to get intoa war would be of no benifit to him, he did not lie.
"Does he provide then with great support and medical care when they come home injured?"
-The walter reid tragedy was not under his supervision, as commander in chief he does not have time to go to each VA hospital. The person who was responsible for it was fired.
"Does he cut the funding for the VA system?"
-No
"Does he reduce their pay?"
-Not even a little
"Has he ever attended one funeral?"
-Yes, several, including that one boy who jumped on a grenade and saved 3 other soldiers.
"The Bushies claim to support the troops, but they have only one way of showing it: those important yellow magnets."
- No, as the poster stated we are donating and providing programs such as Soliers Angels where you adopt a soldier. What do liberals do besides try to cut funding and protest the troops and call them murderers?
"P.S. No one has spit in a soldier's face. Post a link."
- You spit in their face by making statements like these.

Natural instinct to support family or extended family members. Any war crimes by either side should be punished.

Contrary to what the republicans have been saying, many of our troops in Iraq do want to come home.
"to support our Troops" is a phrase used by politicians when they want to seen patriotic.
The troops are in Iraq because they were sent there by the government.
They are an appendix of the government. That appendix does not act on his own.
When one eats, are we supporting our arm or our leg?
It would not make much sense to say that what we do for ourselves we are doing it for our arm or our leg.
People either support or opposed the war in Iraq.
And to have an influence we have to deal with the government, in this case with GWB.
Whatever happens to the troops is due to the decisions or lack of them by GWB.
GWB has used carelessly the lives of the troops in Iraq.

Awesome and touching pictures and statements about our brave men and women overseas. Thank you for showing us that.
I had heard someone mention wearing red on Fridays when I was at a teachers' conference in Indiana last week. I will start doing that as well.
Thank you for your support — My son is Army National Guard and is home now –but could get sent over there eventually, so I have a special spot in my heart for our troops.
